Are Simply Oso treats made in Alberta?
Yes! Simply Oso is proudly part of the Made in Alberta program. Our dog treats are produced in Alberta, Canada, with a strong focus on supporting local suppliers and sourcing ingredients as close to home as possible. Being a Made in Alberta dog treat brand means we prioritize quality, transparency, and community support.
How many treats can my pup have?
Our natural dog treats are designed fordogs in moderation as training treats or healthy rewards. As a general guideline, treats should make up no more than10% of your dog’s daily diet. The ideal amount will depend on your dog’s size, age, breed, and activity level. When introducing any new dog treats, start small and adjust based on your pup’s needs.
How are the treats made?
All Simply Oso treats are made in small batches using simple, real ingredients you can recognize. We focus on keeping things clean and nutritious with no artificial preservatives, fillers, or unnecessary additives. Each batch is carefully prepared, shaped, and freeze dried to lock in flavor and freshness while keeping them shelf-stable.
Are the dog treats safe for dogs with allergies?
Yes! we are very conscious of dog allergies and sensitivities. All of our recipes are limited-ingredient treats designed with sensitive dogs in mind. While we take great care to reduce cross-contamination between batches, we recommend reviewing all ingredients carefully if your dog has specific allergies. If unsure, consult your veterinarian before introducing new dog treats.
Have my treats gone bad?
Both our Cock-A-Doodle Chews and Moo-Moo Munchies are freeze-dried treats. If you've stored them properly in a cool, dry place, there's a good chance they haven’t gone bad.
Our treats are premium, artisanal products made without any preservatives or artificial color additives, so natural variation in color, shape, and texture is completely normal—even within the same batch. In particular, our beef treats may have a more porous appearance due to the freeze-drying process.
If you’re ever unsure or have concerns about your treats, feel free to email us at woof@simplyoso.ca—we’re happy to help!
How should I store natural dog treats?
To maintain freshness and prevent spoiling, store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, reseal the packaging tightly. Proper storage helps preserve flavour, texture, and quality.
